2D & 3D Drafting / Fabrication

Helion, the geotechnical/ environmental wing of the enterprise, is also equipped to handle all aspects of drafting and designing, including two and three-dimensional construction drawings. We have the capability of digitizing and printing those drawings, developing material prototyping, and three-dimensional printing, in addition to creating electrical, architectural, mechanical, and network diagrams.

Helion’s drafting and printing skills compliment our geospatial, geotechnical, and environmental engineering capabilities. With this combination, we are able to complete all aspects of a project. We understand that each project is different and having our in-house drafting, drawing, and printing hub allows us to tailor-fit deliverables to each client’s specific needs.

DIAGRAMS: Electrical, Architectural, Mechanical, and Network

Helion’s drafting capabilities also include additional mock-ups of existing, as-built, and construction designs that can then be converted to a number of different workable file types.

We do so through the use of AutoCAD to create construction documents for general contractors. AutoCAD allows Helion to:

  • Easily share designs without releasing originals
  • Identify changes faster by comparing DWGTM files
  • Navigate and manipulate drawings more quickly with enhanced 2D graphics
  • View and edit drawings on the web and on mobile devices

2D/3D SCANNING AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS (Digitized and Printed)

Helion’s drafting capabilities uses a IQ Quattro 3600 Scanner, which allows our clients to take any paper design drawings and convert them to a workable cad drawing. This process allows our clients to cut down on physical storage space and have easier and quicker access to any design drawings. Our 2 and 3 dimensional capabilities include:

MATERIAL PROTOTYPE AND 3D PRINTING

Helion is happy to offer our in-house prototype rendering. We house several Craftbot FLOW IDEX XL printers which can be used for any desired prototype design or production. The Craftbot FLOW IDEX XL with extruders can operate independently from each other, enabling us to print two objects at the same time.

The printers include a massive build volume of 425 x 250 x 500 mm (16.7 x 9.8 x 19.7 inches), making it the largest desktop IDEX 3D printer in the world. It is also a true Plug ’n’ Play 3D printer, allowing us to tailor-fit any deliverable to our clients needs. Additional specs include:

  • Independent and separate feeding extruders]

    o 12.5×12.5×5 micron XVY accuracy
